స్థానిక సంస్థల ఎన్నికల్లో ఓటమి భయంతోనే కూటమి నేతలు దాడులు, బెదిరింపులకు పాల్పడుతున్నారని వైఎస్సార్‌సీపీ ఎంపీ మిథున్ రెడ్డి విమర్శించారు. పుంగనూరులో టీడీపీకి గెలిచే సత్తా లేదని, నామినేషన్లు స్వీకరించవద్దంటూ ఆర్వోపై ఒత్తిడి తెచ్చారని ఆరోపించారు. పోలీసు, రెవెన్యూ వ్యవస్థలను ఉపయోగించుకుని అడ్డదారిలో గెలవాలని చూస్తున్నారని మండిపడ్డారు. దాడులకు భయపడేది లేదని, దమ్ముంటే ఎన్నికల్లో నేరుగా తలపడాలని సవాల్ విసిరారు.
Coalition leaders gripped by fear of defeat: MP Mithun Reddy
YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy criticised the coalition leaders, alleging that they were resorting to attacks and threats out of fear of defeat in the local body elections. He accused them of pressuring the returning officer not to accept nominations, claiming that the TDP had no strength to win in Punganur. He lashed out at them for trying to win through unfair means by using the police and revenue machinery. He challenged them to face the elections directly if they had the courage, saying he would not be intimidated by the attacks.
