CPI’s Eswaraiah condemns attack on Mithun Reddy
CPI state secretary G. Eswaraiah condemned the attack on MP Mithun Reddy. He alleged that the TDP was involved in clashes and attacks in Tirupati, Punganur and Rayachoti on the first day of the nomination process. He said it was deplorable that the police themselves were facilitating the attacks. He demanded that the elections be conducted under the watch of central forces, strict action be taken against those involved in the attacks, and security be provided to the candidates. He urged the Election Commission to allow online nominations if it was unable to provide security.
