Transfer action against controversial Kuppam IAS officer
IAS officer Vikas Marmat allegedly abused and attempted to attack police personnel at a pub while under the influence of alcohol. The Chandrababu government has issued orders transferring Vikas over the ruckus at a Bengaluru pub. He has been directed to report to the General Administration Department (GAD). Chittoor District Collector Sumit Kumar has been given additional charge as the Kadapa project director. The Chief Secretary ordered the transfer following the registration of a criminal case against Vikas.
